What I did

I co-designed Gaia, a Gemini-powered extension of Google Maps. I helped take the product from concept to interactive prototype in 48 hours. We proposed replacing broad, umbrella queries with a conversational flow that understands intent, context and specifics, getting users to the "right place" for their needs, more quickly.

How I did it

  • I helped define the core interaction model, i.e. a conversational search flow that asks users the right questions (distance, motivations, skills, accessibility needs) before surfacing results, rather than dumping a list on them.

  • I designed the full user journey, from wireframes to hi-fi

  • I baked in AI design principles that ensure that the AI's reasoning was visible and trustworthy at every step
